(More customer reviews)I bought these for my boys, ages 11 & 8, and they love them. They're always looking for fun ways to battle eachother and this certainly fits the bill - harmlessly. They are easy to fill and launch. And even though I had no option of choosing the colors, I lucked out with the basic primary colors (no pink for me) and they each picked one without argument.
I don't think they would be good for children younger than 8 because once opened up, they may be too long for their arm span; and I don't think they would have good control over it.
All in all, a good product. I recommend it (and I already have).
