(More customer reviews)My wife and I used this for our home birth. I recommend inflating it well ahead of when you expect the baby as there will be no time when the contractions start. I also recommend filling it halfway two weeks before the due date and then you can top it off with all hot water once the action starts. My wife would agree this pool made the whole experience much better. The soothing effect of warm water and the weight it takes off your wife makes the birth much more comfortable. I didn't need to get into the pool with her to comfort, but it was plenty big enough to if I had wanted, I am a 6' big guy, so yes this is a good sized pool. One other recommendation is to wash or wipe the pool down before filling it with water, oh and you may want to put a non skid mat in the bottom or lay a towel under where your wife sits. My wife gave a scare when after the birth she slid down into the pool a bit with baby. Great product for the price and shipping was relatively quick.
