(More customer reviews)As everyone has pointed out, the design of this toy is way beyond marginal - it plain doesn't work as advertised. In fact, the picture on the front shows a water shower that is physically impossible with this pool - even if it worked as designed.
Now, I was in fact able to over-pressurize both the "trunks" AND the top rim of the pool (you HAVE to do this to for it to work) to a point beyond reasonable pressure (I nearly burst a blood vessel in my eye getting the thing up to this pressure... perhaps a good foot pump would achieve the same effect). With this, I did in fact get it to sort of stay up albeit unstable... which produced a rain trickle in the middle of the pool (nothing like the picture).
Now, all this being said, once I was able to MacGuyver everything to work, my daughter (3.5 yrs old) spent 2 hours frolicking about in it this after noon and this evening. She absolutely loves it, so it's worth the horrible pain to make it work. I just wish it wasn't such a poorly designed thing, it really is a great concept.
