(More customer reviews)These toys are rubbery-hard plastic, about palm-sized. You get them to light up by whacking them against a hard surface (like a sidewalk). They're pretty bright when they're lit up - you can see them even during the day. Unfortunately they only stay lit for about 15 seconds before you have to smack them again. My 7 year old has to have help whacking them - a tap doesn't do it. Think: About the PSI you'd put behind squishing a really ugly bug with a shoe.
