(More customer reviews)The previous reviewer may not have realized that the narrow part of the squirter is supposed to stay submerged under water (which is why it is specifically a pool toy), but this allows for continuous squirting without having to refill. As far as distance, I haven't paid much attention because we actually use this toy for the bath tub!
I gave these out as party favors for my son's birthday and many moms told me their kids also love it in the bath. If you want to ensure peace and harmony make sure you have one per child. It really entices kids into the bath. Our favorite game is where I blow bubbles while they try to squirt the bubbles with the squirters. I close the shower curtain on half the tub and aim the bubbles low. When I'm burnt out and don't feel like thinking or talking, I just load the kids in the tub and start mindlessly blowing bubbles. Great toy!!
