(More customer reviews)I was trying to find a good bath toy to replace the moldy squirting toys. So I got this toy set wondering if we can use it as bath toys. When I opened the package I was really surprised: the animals in this set have real sand inside. Just like that sand on a beach. And the opening is closed with a rubbery stopper that is not fitted right, so it is not water proof and is not very strong. With a light touch, the stopper fell out and all sand spilled. So first of all - it is definitely not a bath toy because even if the stopper stays in, the water still can get in the toy and the sand inside is not very clean, so your bath water will get dirty from the sand. Second, if you want to use it as a pool toy - be prepared to clean up all the sand from the bottom of the pool because it will spill. And third, if your child is young and still likes to chew toys - beware that he can get a mouthful of sand.
Since the sand spilled and I could not return the toy set, I just cleaned up the toys and my kids now just play with the animals as regular bath toys.
So my conclusion is - the makers of this toy set never tested their product with their intended customer base - kids. Why did they ever think that putting sand inside kids toys is a good idea?!
